The opportunity: Skagit Valley College (SVC) is accepting applications for an adjunct (part-time) Nutrition Instructor at the Mount Vernon, Washington campus. Adjunct positions are offered on a quarterly basis. Applications will remain on file for future openings in this area of instruction. We are looking for adjunct faculty who show exceptional classroom skills, whose enthusiasm for the subject matter engages students, and who challenge students through innovative pedagogy and teaching strategies. We seek teacher-scholars whose scholarly activities complement and inform their teaching.

Some of what you'll do:
Provide high quality on-site and online instruction in Nutrition based on student needs;
Monitor and document student performance as necessary;
Engage in scholarly activities that complement and inform teaching;
Use inclusive and effective teaching methods to support and to enhance learning for students inside and outside of the classroom;
Create positive learning environment for diverse students, faculty and staff;
Demonstrate multicultural understanding and foster equity.
