The University of Wisconsin – La Crosse’s AACSB accredited College of Business Administration invites applications for a full-time tenure-track accounting position at the Assistant Professor level in its Department of Accountancy starting August 2018. We seek colleagues who share the department’s commitment to diversity and will be dedicated faculty members and mentors for students. The college values continuing self-development in teaching, scholarship, and service consistent with AACSB standards.
Candidates should possess a PhD or DBA from AACSB accredited university with concentration in accounting. ABDs near completion of dissertation will be considered. Candidates for the appointment should have or be near to completing their degree by the start date. Degree must be earned by the first personnel review, no later than May 15, 2019.
JD or LL.M in Taxation from ABA approved law school or doctorate in a discipline closely related to accounting field with an undergraduate or master’s degree in accounting will be considered.
Professional certification, evidence of scholarly activity, ability to bring diverse perspectives, and relevant work experience are desirable. Ability to teach an upper level accounting course such as intermediate, not-for-profit, tax, or accounting information systems is also desirable.
UW-La Crosse has consistently ranked near the top in the nation among large schools based on the first-time pass rates on the CPA exam. Academic year salary is commensurate with qualifications and competitive with other AACSB schools in the region, and includes benefits (retirement, insurances and leave).
