The successful candidates will be responsible for taking inbound calls on behalf of the San Diego Access and Crisis Line. This includes a high volume of calls related to crisis intervention, suicide prevention and substance abuse issues. In addition, the Care Advocates will review and respond to Treatment Authorization Requests (TARS) for inpatient admissions from facilities throughout the County of San Diego. Schedule: Friday 12:30PM - 11PM Saturday 12:30PM - 11PM Shift Differentials will apply20 hours per weekAs part of this position, you will be required to be granted and maintain access to the County of San Diego's electronic health record, Anasazi. Required Qualifications:California Licensed Master's degree level clinician in: Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Counseling, or a Licensed Ph.D. / PsyD Psychologist OR Bachelors in Nursing with Psychology experienceLicenses must be active and unrestricted for the State of CA3+ years of clinical experience in the Behavioral Health field, including taking and responding to crisis calls and / or situationsSolid computer proficiency, must be able to type and navigate within a Windows based environmentStrong communication skills, written and verbal Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual in SpanishInpatient experienceDual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abusePrevious experience working in a fast-paced, high volume work environmentPrevious experience in a telephonic roleCareers with Optum.
