Job Description Details:
Managing Human Performance: Evaluates employee performance in accordance with Human Resource policies and procedures.
Education and Training: Assists the Director in the planning and implementation of education that promotes professional competence and personal growth.
Financial Performance: Along with the Director, ensures financial performance and profitability through the development and monitoring of the budget in accordance with the Finance Department's standards.
Performance/Quality Improvement: Participates in quality improvement and monitoring, regulatory compliance and risk management activities
Communication: Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Office Coordinator, team members, and other departments to promote customer service.
Responsible for maintaining a positive and beneficial working relationship with Auxiliary, individual volunteers, and community organizations.
Identifies and develops appropriate volunteer opportunities which meet the hospital needs for supplemental services, and establishes guidelines and training for staff with regard for utilization of volunteers.
Manage intake aspect of volunteer services program which includes: recruitment, selection, orientation, and placement
Maintains the ongoing support of volunteers, including: evaluation, recognition, education, and interaction
Provides ongoing social and emotional support for volunteers.
All other duties as assigned.
Education: Baccalaureate degree preferred, with major in behavioral sciences, personnel administration, business management or communication and/or equivalent experience in volunteer administration.
Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in volunteer administration in a facility of comparable scope and size to that of the Mount Carmel facility.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, human relations skills, decision making ability and ability to generate new ideas and innovations.
Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills, and ability to relate to persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities.
Personal commitment to volunteerism and the ability to project hospital's image to the community.
