The Program and Policy Analyst I (PPA I) position resides within Nemours National Office of Policy and Prevention. This is a grant funded position funded yearly, for up to 2.5 years with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The position supports the newly-awarded Advancing Child and Family Health Equity in States and Communities project which works with states and local communities to reduce disparities in outcomes for young children ages birth through five. Nemours partners with two other national organizations, various stakeholders and RWJF to design and implement this project in multiple states and communities.
This position is responsible for providing coordination, communication, logistical and analytical support for both projects. The Program and Policy Analyst I will be responsible for the coordination of day to day logistics and administrative aspects of collaborative projects. The Program and Policy Analyst I is the first point of entry and main point of contact to the internal project team, external stakeholders and partners, both in telephone and email communication. The Program and Policy Analyst I will need to have strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills. The Program and Policy Analyst I will report to the Project Manager.
Initiative and Program Support: Supporting activities, communication, and logistics such as managing project calendar, stakeholder lists, and registrations. Ordering and coordinating delivery of project supplies to include working with vendors, internal departments and external partners. Manage IRB process with internal Nemours departments and evaluation team. Assisting at meetings and events to take notes, observe and provide feedback. Providing ongoing partner service, coordination, triage, and response to phone and email inquiries, including accessing and using web site and other technical applications.
Writing and Researching: Writing and researching position papers, summaries and lessons learned. Creating for others and giving presentations to a variety of audiences with support from supervisor.
Financial Support: Assisting with fiscal management of office, initiative or project (processing invoices, tracking expenditures, etc.).
Continuous Improvement: Assist in Continuous Improvement projects.
Technical Assistance Support: Serving as a liaison to provide and support ongoing, individualized support and technical assistance on relevant topic, internally and externally.
Evaluation Support: Providing analytical support and evaluation assistance such as data entry, data analysis and interviews.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to learn and implement content expertise in organizational and administrative policies, and practices.
Knowledge and experience providing logistical and project support for multiple team members simultaneously.
Ability to work independently in a matrix organization including the ability to plan and organize with little assistance and to integrate work across the organization.
Ability to work collaboratively on teams.
Ability to communicate orally and written. Must be comfortable communicating with diverse audiences.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum 1 - 3 years job related experience.
