Full time Emergency Department Lead Registrar ? Hours: 8 hour?day shift?with rotation as needed (40 hours per week)/every other weekend - Review daily Passport and Ahiqa reports for Emergency room staff and?? make corrections as necessary - Keeps abreast of insurance regulations - Review Emergency room registration and ensure correct payor plan has?? been selected on prior day registrations? - Ensure POS notes are documented and update if necessary - Ensure registrar notes are clear, concise and explained what happened during the registration process? - Assists the Manager in the development and implementation of registration policies and procedures - Distribute information to ancillary departments, business office,? and?Physician's?as appropriate - Resolves patient complaints in relation to the Emergency room in a timely fashion - Ensure Emergency Room is adequately staffed for all shifts. Fill shifts where necessary - Work with the Patient Access Manager to ensure all needs are filled in the Emergency Room? - Communicate any supply needs to Patient Access Manager or Designee? - Work with the Patient Access Manger to resolve any recurring problems in the Emergency Room? ?
Education: - High School Diploma or Equivalent - Previous Registration Experience of at least 2 years - Lead or Management experience, required?? ? Experience/Skills: - Previous registration, preferred - ?Knowledge of medical terminology - ?Proficient knowledge of computer systems and related technical terminology. - ?Extensive knowledge of medical insurance and medical claims processing requirements, required - ?Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail. - ?Excellent interactive communication skills - Bilingual (Spanish), a plus - ?Excellent customer service skills taking into account patient circumstances. - ?Knowledge of regulations and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality ? ? ? ? ?
