Assistant Manager Ambulatory Care Department, RN
In this role, you will assist in managing a single department or multiple small departments providing ambulatory patient care services by supervising daily operations and patient care activities. You will ensure that the staff provides high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. You will be responsible for implementing and supervising the maintenance of clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development. In addition, you will assist in integrating services/operations with the nursing standards of practice, service priorities, and performance/outcome measures, as well as with business, departmental, and organizational goals/objectives.
At least two years of experience in ambulatory care or other relevant clinical experience, or two years of experience in a leadership capacity, or completion of Kaiser Permanente Southern California Postgraduate Fellowship in Health Care Administration
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
A bachelor's degree or four years of experience in a directly related field with a high school diploma or GED
A current California RN license
Clinical specialization in pediatrics preferred
Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and other local, state, and federal regulations
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
