The Scheduler II position is responsible for obtaining, recording and relaying accurate information required for scheduling cases.
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of two to three years of experience working with scheduling, physician practices, hospital units/ancillary department.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and scheduling software
Communicates pertinent clinical/scheduling information to the physicians, nurses and scheduling team and members of the Service Line.
Utilizes patient information and physician assessment to identify patient's scheduling needs.
Coordinates the scheduling of procedures and complex office visits by collaborating with clinical staff to ensure quality timeframes are met per clinical protocols.
Prepares written orders for procedures.
Conducts and ensure prior authorization.
Functions as a liaison between the physicians, patients, referring physicians, and members of the Service Line.
