The Senior Assistant to the Dean, Silberman College reports directly to the Dean of Silberman College. Given that the Dean's schedule is split between the two New Jersey Campuses as well as at off-campus events, the Senior Assistant is the nerve center for all administrative activities. This three-campus structure (including Vancouver) and the Dean's external responsibilities add further complexity to this position. Responsibilities include: researching and responding to questions and problems; interaction with faculty, staff, students, and external constituents; database administration; serving as the SCB webmaster; supervising the process of faculty evaluation and confidential personnel record keeping; managing the physical offices of the College; and performing special projects. Importantly, the incumbent works closely with the Dean on procedures to ensure AACSB accreditation.

.A minimum of seven years successful administrative experience in an academic environment working with faculty, students, parents and staff.
.Experience with external constituencies, including the press, senior corporate officers, and community leaders.
.Experience in office and budget management.
.Experience with computerized data management, spreadsheet, and word processing systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required. Knowledge of web content management software preferred. Familiarity with Ellucian Colleague a plus.
.Excellent research skills, using internet and academic sources.
.Strong oral and written communication skills.
.Excellent human relations and administrative skills, especially the ability to manage sensitive information with decorum and confidentiality.
