The Department of Anesthesiology (http://anes-som.ucsd.edu/) at the University of California San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department seeks a part-time Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist. Rank will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
As a project scientist, you will conduct research projects at the Center for Pain and Headache Research directed by Albert Leung, M.D., a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at UCSD School of Medicine. The Center also draws on expertise from clinical psychologists, neuroradiologists, biostatisticians, and staff physicians from varying departments within UCSD and VASDHS. The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to participate in other collaborative research opportunities.
Applicants must have an MD or PhD or MD/PhD with an emphasis relevant to Clinical Psychology, Neurocomputation or related neuroscience, psychology, imaging or statistical field. 2+ year of functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging experience, Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of organization with careful attention to detail. Established investigators with clear transition plans preferred.
