The Accounting Specialist provides accounting support to Hospital and College of Medicine clinical and research departments. Specifically, this position focuses on reviewing procurement card charges and posting editing entries in SAP. Employee will provide backup support for other accounts payable functions as needed. This position will have frequent interaction with department faculty and staff. Candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and exhibit strong attention to detail. Responsible for ensuring procard charge backup documentation is complete and compliant with UK policies and procedures. Must be able to multi-task and work productively in a team environment. Knowledge of accounting rules and regulations, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and experience with electronic accounting systems is preferred.
Computer Skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Adobe PDF, Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Teamwork, Experience in Finance and/or Accounting and Customer Service.
