This position serves as a Clinical Trials Budget and Contract Analyst at the CTSC Clinical Trials Office (CTO) at the UC Davis School of Medicine. This position will be responsible for analysis and management of the CTO business portfolio. This individual will prepare, negotiate, and manage budgets for clinical trials with departments and sponsors, prepare coverage analysis, provide suggestions to increase cost recovery, recommend payment terms, and identify potential compliance issues with UC Davis Policies and Procedures. In addition, the individual will exercise a high degree of independence to develop documentation to maintain and expand the capability of the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).REQUIRED--Demonstrated clinical research project management experience --Working knowledge of federal & state regulations, GCP guidelines, HIPAA, institutional policies, and SOPs for conduct of human subjects research in an academic environment--Possess good investigative skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail--Analytical skills to evaluate information, practices, and procedures, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and make recommendations for effective solutions, strategies, and/or approaches--Knowledge and experience working with key administrative software and computer systems including Windows or Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, web browser applications, email applications, and Access databases--Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills PREFERRED--Bachelor's degree in business, public health or science related field; a master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, or Health Administration is desirable--Research Administration and Financial Management experience --Experience managing multiple clinical trials in compliance with applicable department, University, and Federal agency policy including budget preparation, contract negotiation, account reconciliation--Extensive knowledge of clinical trial operations, including but not limited to IRB and FDA requirements --Clinical Research Coordinator experience--Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems, Clinical Trials Management Systems or other computer software and web-based financial information system applicationsSPECIAL REQUIREMENT --Must be able to work flexible schedule as needed.--THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
