The Marketing Organization will align to a new operating model and support both Run the Business and the Key Programs & Initiatives. There is a need for ongoing prioritization as well as an effective allocation and utilization of resources to ensure that the work with the highest priority is appropriately resourced. The Prioritization & Resourcing Manager facilitates the identification of the resources needed across Marketing, resolves conflicts, and anticipates and plans for future demands. Primary Responsibilities:Ensure timely allocation of required resources and communicate potential resourcing issues that may impact scheduled deadlines Identify potential instances of under and over utilization resources Actively work with portfolio and program managers to plan for or resolve staffing fluctuations as a result of changing project demands, skill needs, and natural staff attrition Encourage and enable project managers to access peers from within their team and across the organization to get help, share information, and source ideasProject future resource and capability needs within the Marketing teamTrack and manage deployment of Marketing resources to Marketing activitiesCoordinate with Marketing Directors and Managers to track staff deployment and capacity on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basisMonitor the project intake process to determine need for shifting resources to prioritized efforts within MarketingCompare a project's resource estimates with actual time incurred in order to determine accuracy of annual resource planning estimates and revise go-forward estimatesDevelop and continually refine a standard set of staffing models for completing recurring projects/campaignsParticipate in the development of resourcing strategies Responsible for identifying and implementing the appropriate solutions/systems for resourcingWill not have responsibility for direct reports
Required Qualifications:BA/BS degree, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience3+ years of experience in project, program, or portfolio resource planning and budget management3+ years of experience with relevant project life-cycles including those associated large-scale strategic initiatives3+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisionsIntermediate or higher level of proficiency with Excel and PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:Experience in the healthcare industry (Medicare)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to be flexible and work with ambiguityExperience presenting to executive leadership Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely regardless of audience Active and engaged listener with the ability to explain concepts, opinions, and options upstream and downstreamSelf-starter with excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance multiple competing prioritiesProficiency with Tableau, MS Project and SharePointCareers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.The Boomer generation is the fastest growing market segment in health care.
