Academic Technology supports teaching, learning, and research across schools and units at Harvard. Reporting to the Director of Academic Platform Support in Academic Technology, the Business Analyst will work as part of a team to support software and services related to the pedagogical mission of the University. The Business Analyst will work with stakeholders to understand and support needs relating to products and services.
The Business Analyst will: possess a deep understanding of platforms offered by Academic Technology; answer complex questions on tool use; diagnose and report on issues with provided technologies and services; assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency; radiate information about our services; identify risk as it relates to use of our platforms; coordinate with other teams across Harvard on dependencies; collaborate with team members to continually improve processes; and communicate features effectively within the team and to school stakeholders.
The ideal candidate works best within a team environment, is a self-starter, is capable of handling multiple projects, and is committed to quickly delivering high-quality services within deadlines. The candidate serves as a resource to school partners, senior management, product managers, and user support specialists in the area of product and business expertise, and remains informed about product roadmaps. They assist with general administration, documentation, special projects, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while bringing order and structure to our work.
In addition, the Business Analyst will have a background and interest in assuming a lead role in providing expertise in the use of video platforms for various use cases, including lecture capture, special event delivery, live streaming, and video use within courses. This support and expertise will be provided to other team members and to school stakeholders.

Bachelor degree with 3-5 years demonstrated experience in business analyst role or similar role.
