The Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for Principal of Eden Prairie High School. The key purpose of this role is to provide educational leadership focused on the district mission of “inspiring each student every day.”
Eden Prairie is a school district with over 1,500 employees serving approximately 8,800 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming. Eden Prairie High School has had the highest percentage of graduates who enroll in college, compared to its neighboring districts. EPHS has been named one of “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” by The Washington Post. Recent recognitions have also included the College Board, University of Minnesota, Minnesota State High School League, U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, and CBS MaxPrep Sports. Large high school experience as a lead principal.
Experienced and confident leader to guide and manage staff in an inclusive and open environment.
Proficient, accessible and welcoming communicator who keeps in touch with staff both verbally and in written form.
Innovative and energetic leader who is comfortable working in a large, diverse school environment.
Strong ability and willingness to work with a diverse student and parent population.
Proficient coaching, consensus and conflict resolution skills.
Accountable and responsible leader with experience in giving clear directions to staff, making effective decisions and has strong follow-through skills.
Technological expertise in supporting the high school improvement needs.
Previous experience in the areas of curriculum development and evaluation, personnel development and evaluation using the Performance Improvement Process.
Advanced coursework in areas pertaining to skills and content of the principal ship.
Knowledge and experience regarding current issues in large school management.
Skilled communicator and systems thinker who possesses interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, parents and community.
