The George Mason University's Information Technology Services (ITS) department-located on the Fairfax, VA campus-seeks enthusiastic, motivated and organized applicants to fill the position of ITS Administrative Lead. This position will oversee administrative operations within ITS, leading a staff of one administrative assistant and student workers.

Responsibilities: The position reports to the Executive Director of ITS Strategic Business Operations and is responsible for managing day-to-day tasks that contribute to the overall operations and procedures of ITS, to include:
Supervises administrative staff and student employees;
Manages calendar for the Executive Director;
Inventories and manages office equipment and supplies;
Submits and tracks appropriate work order requests;
Manages office access and facilitates office moves, renovations and upgrades, including furnishings;
Regularly updates staff contact lists, and office procedures and/or manuals;
Prepares routine correspondence;
Assists with coordinating travel for staff and/or interview candidates;
Consults with Executive Director and Directors as needed to plan adequate support of office projects;
Provides support to ITS HR Liaison as required for department candidate searches; and
Provides support to VP and CIO as required to backup Assistant to VP and CIO
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experience;
Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills;
Demonstrated experience with executive calendar management;
Demonstrated ability to work well with a diverse array of stakeholders in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment – both individually and as a team;
Demonstrated experience as a supervisor who develops and promotes a positive work environment;
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion;
Experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Ability to multitask, to take initiative, and follow-through on tasks;
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience working on a college campus; and
Experience supervising college students.
Salary up to $50,000; commensurate with education and experience.
