Administers all human resources plans companywide. This position acts as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. The HR Administrator also ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and KING AEROSPACE policies. Develops, monitors and enforces policy on human resources and directs and coordinates associated programs and activities, such as employment, compensation, benefits, training and employee services. Responsible for orchestrating such programs and activities at the Home Office and all geographically separated organizations within KING AEROSPACE, Inc. (KAI) and KING AEROSPACE Commercial Corporation (KACC). Position requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline and five years of experience in human resources in a privately owned company preferably working within manufacturing-like industry and in support of government programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Responsible for the maintenance of confidential personnel files, including ensuring all requirements have been met and documented in the records.
Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations concerning employment, HIPAA and the Employee Plan Document.
Manages affirmative action and equal employment opportunity programs in compliance with regulations affecting government contracts.
Oversees the preparation and filing of the EEO-1 report and Vets 100 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Assists in the development, implementation, maintenance, interpretation and enforcement of the KING AEROSPACE Employee Handbook, policies and procedures related to personnel matters.
Administers benefits programs such as life, health, vision, dental and disability insurances, 401(k) plan, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, workers compensation, retirements, employee assistance, relocation programs and other plans.
Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
Prepares and communicates information to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes and government-mandated disclosures, as well as being available to employees to answer their benefit questions, resolve problems related to access to or payment of benefits and claims resolution, orient newly eligible employees, process enrollment forms, changes, and loan requests and approve invoices for payment.
Responsible for updating and maintaining job descriptions as well as developing and maintaining internal job posting program.
Posts job opportunities and responds to public inquiries on positions available in the company’s employment.
Verifies accuracy of resume and application data (i.e. check references and degrees).
Administers pre-employment tests, background screenings and pre-employment drug testing as requested.
Extend offers of employment, coordinate new hire start date and ensure proper paperwork is completed.
Communicates to supervisors and employees various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
Track, monitor and administer FMLA.
Handles employee relations counseling, advises management in appropriate resolutions of, and responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and participates in and administers exit interview policies and procedures.
Involved in all employee terminations to ensure proper procedures are adhered to.
