In this managerial role, you'll use your knowledge and analytical skills to help determine how clinical providers group up by specialty and service line. Primary Responsibilities:Assist in the development of strategic initiatives aimed at improving the access and affordability of healthcare, specifically pharmaceutical products related to prescription drug list and drug distribution channel strategiesDevelopment of Excel-based analytic models to evaluate financial impact of various drug management strategiesCompare and value different strategies based on generated data Maintain positive relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and develop pricing that supports management initiatives Present potential strategies to internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner including key senior leaders within UHCDrive ideas forward and obtain cross functional buy - in based on the analysis of effectiveness of drugs, drug cost, and drug market shareBe prepared to be challenged. This is a fast-paced, intense and performance focused environment where you'll need to juggle competing priorities, present complex information and work with senior level leadership from all lines of the business. This position will serve as a program lead and performance manager across Provider Experience & Network services.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree is required but Master's Degree preferred5+ years of analytical experience in financial analysis, healthcare pricing, network management, healthcare economics, or related discipline3+ years of experience with provider payment methodologies and healthcare productsAt least an intermediate level of proficiency in performing financial impact analysis, risk management, and data manipulation2+ years of experience in creating and using financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, and information acquisition tools including experience in interpreting and reviewing financial modeling results to evaluate the financial impact of contract changes and develop forecasts5+ years of supervisory experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsExpert level proficiency in MS Excel Building diverse, high quality provider networks is creating greater access to health care and improving the lives of millions.
