This position is responsible for driving and supporting successful execution of development and integration efforts and processes related to new Banner University Medical Group Primary Care services. Develops growth efforts to meet access and care needs including development of clinics/practices, identifying practice acquisition opportunities, and establishing and participating in implementation of a medical staff development plan and other business development plans. Facilitates multiple functions designed to create alignment alternatives for healthcare providers to increase the organizations market share in primary care and specialty referrals. Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with targeted consumer groups including community providers. Actively engages with senior management team in developing strategy, defining targets and monitoring progress within the designated market(s). Supports overall objectives on organizations provider community practice, primary and specialty care, medical group, planning, and operations. Partners with Business Development to align and streamline market strategies.
Provides project planning and coordination of resources for the service line, ensuring its strategic and fiscal growth and positioning the organization as a market leader with employees, physicians and the community. Collaborates with the community, physicians and other providers to identify under-met or changing needs of the population and recommends new programs, accordingly.
Explores and partners in the development of new services and technological advancements related to area(s) of responsibility; plans for current and future needs using research and data; validates need for related resources/capital.
Builds and supports effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and organizations. Develops partnerships, coordinates activities, reviews work, exchanges information, and/or resolves problems related to development and integration.
Assesses overall staffing effectiveness in areas of responsibility, develop and monitor administrative infrastructure to support division(s) operations to include staffing levels, credentialing, compensation plan(s), organizational development, recruitment and retention, as well as team building.
Actively participates in medical staff development plan to support projected growth as well as succession plans for projected departures. Also participates in these discussions within other areas of the continuum as opportunities are identified.
Coordinates with the markets medical group to develop processes to ensure seamless transitions in acquisitions, recruitment, and on-boarding.
Serves as key communication resource by delivering essential messages and information to targeted providers, provider practices, employers, consumer groups, civic and social leaders, facility leadership and other appropriate stakeholders. Provides bi-directional communication regarding service lines, programs and available services. Determines referral patterns and coordinates with healthcare providers to manage those through introduction to other supportive providers.

Establishes high performance standards for service outcomes and works with leadership team to meet standards and continually improve patient satisfaction and loyalty.
Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare administration as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration or related field.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare administration as normally demonstrated through seven or more years of experience within the dynamics of healthcare, business development and relationship building with healthcare providers and consumer groups or relevant experience. Needs working knowledge of provider practices and associated issues. Displays advanced understanding of planning, program development, and business development concepts along with ability to conceptualize, envision, and plan for the future. Must function effectively in a team environment, collaborating with various levels of employees, community members, employers and healthcare providers. Requires advanced skills in negotiation, conflict management, customer service, plan implementation and follow-through. Needs effective and polished verbal and written communication skills to positively and professionally represent the organization in individual and group settings. Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well independently.
Masters degree in related field preferred.
