HUIT is seeking a Business Analyst who as a member of the FAS Administrative Systems team will play a key role in defining and delivering highly visible projects that serve the faculty, students, and staff of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Business Analyst will work closely with technologists and academic department product owners to meet project goals. The position performs and executes all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements definition and refinement, solution design (business work flow ), change management, and ongoing production support. Key responsibilities:
Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather and analyze the need for new or enhanced functionality.
Working with user departments, understand and diagram work flow.
Create user stories, use cases, and business requirement documents to support application development, revisiting and refining previous gathered requirements as needed.
Capture and document change requests, out-of-scope requests, and bugs.
Conduct reviews with developers and QA analysts to ensure that business requirements are being met.
Analyze and research data requests.
Assist the service desk in the documentation of user procedures and knowledge articles.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
2-5 years in an IT related field, preferably business or systems analysis or project management.
