Nurse Practitioner-Pediatric ICU
We Are: Our highly skilled nursing team at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) is comprised of over 300 nurse practitioners. Each of us is dedicated to delivering excellence in the art and science of professional nursing, consistent with our mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.

Responsibilities include: *Caring for acutely ill pediatric oncology patients in a Nurse Practitioner (NP) managed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit *Coverage for Rapid Response Team (RRT), professional consults and participation in all pediatric medical codes *Presenting in daily academic rounds, performing H&Ps, ordering and evaluating necessary medical tests *Carrying out necessary invasive medical procedures, initiating and adjusting mechanical ventilation, and managing vasoactive medications *Collaboration with members of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit multidisciplinary team to coordinate admissions, discharges and post-operative transfers within the unit *Participation in ongoing research and education related to the field
Qualifications are: *Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations *Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) required *Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) *3+ years of related clinical experience including pediatric critical care experience *Related National NP certification *PALS, BCLS, ACLS *Membership in professional specialty associations preferred
Hours: Full-time 12 hour shifts with night, weekend and holiday rotation required
