The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), a professional state association in Richmond, Va., seeks an organized, independent program manager for its peer review program. Peer review is a periodic outside evaluation of a CPA firm’s accounting and auditing practice that works to ensure the public trust and enhance audit quality. Position reports to the VP, Advocacy.
Independently manages and administers all aspects of the program
Ensures compliance with national requirements
Delivers exceptional customer service to program participants
Communicates relevant information to program participants
Maintains excellent relationship with the national, state and local stakeholders
Exceptional project management and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
Excellent ability to understand and communicate technical information and regulatory requirements
Technologically savvy, comfortable learning new programs, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database skills
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
5-7 years professional experience
Experience managing or administering a compliance, quality control or regulatory program
Experience in working in associations or volunteer management a plus
Knowledge or experience in public accounting a plus
