Advertised Job Summary:
The assistant director for facilities manages the on-site supervisory functions for Campus Recreation's indoor and outdoor facilities to include customer service functions, event management, operations of access and security systems, and facility scheduling. These facilities include the Blatt P.E. Center, Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center, tennis courts, playing fields, and challenge course/alpine tower. This position supervises three facility coordinators and over 200 student employees.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma and 7 years related experience.
Current First Aid / AED/ CPR certification. Certified pool operator’s license is required, but may be secured within 3 months of employment. This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement / hazardous weather and other emergencies. In addition, this position requires a variable work schedule. A valid driver’s license is also required to obtain authorization to drive state-owned vehicles.
