POSITIONSUMMARY: Supervises the operational activities of the campus Enrollment Center related to recruitment, admissions, registration and management of student records according to federal, regional, state and institutional policy.
Provides general oversight of the day-to-day operations of an effective enrollment services center.
Serves students and the entire Student Affairs department as well as the faculty and other Academic Affairs staff.
Recruits prospective students by proactively communicating the enrollment process, program-specific details, and general STLCC information via email, telephone, social media, individual appointments, walk-in inquiries, campus tours, and group information sessions.
Provides and supervises services in the Enrollment Center to offer essential information, answer questions, and provide problem resolution for all students in the areas of admissions, registration, enrollment, and student records; as well as limited information regarding financial aid, assessment, advising, access, career services, billing, and payment.
Manages cashiering function and ensures accurate collection of revenues is in compliance with Board Policies and Administrative Procedures
Creates presentations and conduct outreach to high school students, adults, special populations, school districts, community agencies, and other external groups or agencies to initiate and maintain programs and partnership opportunities; ensures consistent, relevant, and appropriate communications to partners to promote and advance positive relationships with STLCC.
Develops and implements special programming and events for prospective students – some of which may involve other college departments such as Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Registration, and Campus Life.
Maintains a master schedule of events for student recruitment activities including on-campus visits and tours for prospective students and groups as well as the staff schedule.
Collaborates with other college departments, local businesses, and community groups to form partnerships for the promotion and marketing of the college. Serves on internal committees to implement student recruitment initiatives and promote college enrollment.
Supervises Information & Enrollment Assistants & Admissions Advisors.
Generates and processes CRM and Banner reports and develops and maintains tracking systems to review prospect information and provide outreach. Interprets data and reports with Associate Dean to determine effectiveness of outreach efforts and programs. Maintains departmental data and related documents and assist in increasing the overall percentage of yield for admitted/enrolled students.
Utilizes Banner and CRM to track outreach. Ensures completed prospect information cards are entered into Banner/CRM in a timely manner.
Advises school administrators, school counselors, teachers, students, and families on STLCC policies and procedures. Refers complex or high-level issues, complaints, or concerns to appropriate administrator or supervisor.
Serves as the Enrollment Center expert for students, staff, and faculty in solving enrollment service related problems.
Represents campus at district meetings of Enrollment Services Managers and Admissions coordinators. Report back to campus staff.
Participates in the development of, and provide feedback on prospective student recruitment materials.
Selects, trains, and supervises campus Student Ambassadors.
Identifies opportunities to improve admissions and enrollment procedures.
Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience and at least 3 years of supervisory experience

Knowledge of admission, registration, and record keeping functions related to enrollment services
Strong communication and customer service skills
Thorough understanding of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
Comprehension of the interconnected nature of functions that constitute the student journey from application through graduation and beyond

Utilization of effective recruitment strategies for varied populations of prospective students
