Over the past eight years, CSU has consistently surpassed fundraising records, doubled alumni participation in philanthropy, and closed two of the largest gifts in the university’s history. Soon after exceeding its first campaign goal of $500 million in 2012, CSU embarked on a much more ambitious path: The $1 billion “State Your Purpose – The Campaign for Colorado State University.” To date, CSU has raised more than $760 million, and with three years remaining in the campaign, yet another fundraising record will be set.
The Regional Development team is part of the University Advancement Development (UAD) office which includes other university-wide development teams including Gift Planning, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Donor Relations and Stewardship, Research and Interdisciplinary Programs and Strategic Initiatives. UAD works in tandem with the colleges and units to secure financial resources to strengthen for the university.
The Regional Program Director of Development is a senior level development position responsible for securing funding for university priorities. These priorities are often multi-million dollar projects and may be interdisciplinary in scope.
In addition to regional travel, at least 50% of the time, this position will be responsible for carrying a prospect portfolio of 75-100. Utilizing the tenets of moves management, prospects will be moved through the pipeline and either managed by the Regional Program Director of Development or moved to a college or unit for further cultivation, solicitation or stewardship.
Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, business, communications, marketing, etc., or related field
Minimum of 5 years major gift fundraising or related experience
Demonstrated success in fundraising at the $100,000 level or above
Ability to travel and work non-standard hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation or access to a driver.
