This position coordinates all emergency and non-emergency responses for all assigned sites where security personnel and/or security systems are located. Monitors cameras and emergency telephones for all assigned locations, dispatching company or local services as needed.
Acts as first point of contact for all emergency and non-emergency situations in assigned locations. Makes determination of services needed and makes appropriate calls via telephone or radio to dispatch needed services.
Monitors, operates and troubleshoots all company-wide access control computers and servers. Monitors security cameras for all assigned areas.
Coordinates all manual security access to secured areas via computerized access software. Performs lockdown services on automated doors and other access points when situations arise. Performs badge and identification verification as needed.
Monitors all emergency phones, including parking lot call boxes, elevators and after hours telephones in all assigned locations.
Acts as central communication point for company-wide security communications.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Two years previous dispatching experience required. Must be able to quickly determine severity of a situation and dispatch needed services. Must be able to prioritize several requests at a time, possess self-motivation, independent judgment and organizational skills. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills, leadership and human relations skills, and excellent customer service skills. Basic mathematical skills are required.
Working knowledge of computers and basic office software packages as well as keyboarding skills
Previous experience with radio communication equipment is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
