Reporting to the Manager of the Yale Medicine Administration (YMA) Project Management Office, with a dual reporting relationship to the Director of Finance & Administration, Department of Pediatrics, and a member of the Special Project Operational Response Team (SPORT), the Project Manager will provide interim or special project support to clinical departments and clinical business offices as deemed appropriate by senior leadership of YMA and YSM. Assignments may be short or long term and may cover multiple departments during the same timeframe, although at least 50% effort will be dedicated to the Department of Pediatrics. Working with broad guidelines, possessing a high level of discretion and judgment, and a thorough understanding of strategic goals and objectives of YM, as assigned, assess the targeted scope of a department's needs, identify resources and staff required to complete the project while developing, monitoring, and reporting reasonable timeframes for completion. Projects will vary and may include but are not limited to: assessing clinical practice operations, adherence to YM standards, revenue cycle interfaces, YSM and Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) interfaces, clinical quality assurance initiatives, and other projects to support YM's missions and vision. Consistently communicate with the project team and key stakeholders Department Lead Administrator, Department Chair, YSM Deputy Dean and YMA leadership, via written or face-to-face communication, to ensure they are fully informed of the project's progression.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Demonstrated success in creating, executing and monitoring strategic plans to support clinical program development, education and medical research. Directly related financial and budget development experience. Familiarity with Oracle, Workday, and Yale Budgeting Tool. Work experience in healthcare with a focus on academic medicine, consulting, and change management.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field and a minimum of five years of work experience; or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Ideal candidate will have experience in a leading academic medical center.
