JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Educational Technology and Media Services Director, the incumbent will coordinate the work of the digital media services team by setting priorities, assigning work, and ensuring deadlines are met. This position will contribute directly to the media services team by producing a variety of multimedia content (video, audio, animations, and graphic design) from pre-production work through post-production work. The incumbent will work with the Educational Technology team and Audio-Visual Services team on innovative digital media projects.
Major Areas of Responsibility Work with faculty, staff, and students to understand digital media needs for projects. Coordinate day-to-day operations of the digital media team, both by delegating work and assigning priorities and by producing work for projects. Produce audio, video, graphic design, and animations for a wide variety of projects, ranging from small course projects with students through College-level initiatives such as the production of online course content. Work directly with Educational Technology and Audio-Visual Services staff on multifaceted projects, assisting in the process from conceptualize the project, initial design work, producing and creating content, and performing post-production work. Support faculty in their own use of digital media tools. Support faculty, staff, and students in the creation of podcasts. Make recommendations on appropriate hardware and software for digital media labs
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere required. Knowledge of audio editing software, such as Audacity, required. Knowledge of animation software required. Working knowledge of studio lighting design and sound design a plus.
