Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) UnitedHealthcare (TeamMD) is recruiting for a statewide Director to plan, direct and lead direct care initiatives in Tennessee, including in home assessments and medical services and primary care services to individuals with complex needs. The successful candidate will be able to build, lead and strengthen direct care and care coordination initiatives that improve outcomes and reduce unnecessary health care costs for vulnerable individuals. Works with Market Medical Directors, UHC executive team and clinicians to establish and direct value based physician operations. Accountable for overall business operations, compliance, revenue cycle, financial sustainability, personnel management and market development. The Director must possess demonstrated business acumen, health care experience, compassion and mission driven attributes, with at least ten years of experience leading healthcare or business initiatives. Primary Responsibilities:Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of UnitedHealthcare and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of justice, respect, compassion, excellence and stewardship into appropriate programs and services.In collaboration with Health plan and National Clinical team leaders, develops and implements statewide strategyDirects and oversees practice operations, including personnel management, compliance, revenue cycle, business operations, and financial sustainability Provides direct oversight for local management, providers and staff, developing, communicating and proactively managing performance expectations Develops and maintains partnerships in local market to drive strategic growth Collaborates with market Medical Directors, practice administrators and clinical leadership to support efficient, value based care. Develop and execute on business processes to support TeamMD clinical model of care Drives overall performance of practices to ensure key metrics and milestones are achieved. Identifies and leads performance improvement initiatives Implement national direct care initiatives at market level in collaboration with local and executive leadership Drive strategic growth and business development in local markets, including development of strong partnerships in congregate living and nursing facilities, hospitals, home health agencies and other partners
Required Qualifications:Masters in healthcare or business administration; will consider Bachelor's Degree with extensive experience in healthcare leadershipMinimum 10 years' experience in healthcare or business leadership role Ability to drive excellence and build a culture of accountability 25% statewide travel potential in TennesseeHighly effective verbal and written communication skillsCareers at TeamMD: Imagine.
