University of Maryland Baltimore is currently seeking an IT Data Entry Operator for Division of Vascular Surgery. The Data Entry Operator is responsible for the day to day processing and standardized and adhoc reporting of data using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL). Assist in the scheduling of research related conference calls for appropriate research programs. Interact and manage communications from participating clinical centers and researchers within and outside the University that are participating/collaborating in our research projects. Maintain databases using commercial software to receive data transfers from outside registries and clinical sites and for use of the Vascular research service.
**This is a FULL-TIME, CONTRACTUAL position**

Ensure that data transfers occur regularly, accurately and smoothly. Responsible for security and integrity of the data.
Enters data from collected case report forms into computer
Ensures accuracy of data by comparing it against source documents. Deletes incorrect data and re-enters corrections into the system.
Maintains records of work completed.
Prepares routine and adhoc reports based on the data at regular intervals and disseminates these according to established procedures.
Responds to routine inquiries and resolves routine problems that are either data or machine related.
Performs related duties such as compiling, sorting and counting data to be entered.
Operates standard office equipment such as personal computer, data entry devices, word processors, printers, and photocopiers.
Performs general clerical duties such as typing, filing, and answering phones
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's preferred. EXPERIENCE: One year in the operation of database administration or relational databases
OTHER: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Based on the duties of this position, selected candidates are not eligible to participate in the Bargaining Unit (Union).
Salary Range: $28,956 - $30,000
