Provide end user support and assist with the management of network functioning, perform standard maintenance, and troubleshoot to resolve problems as necessary in a fast-paced non-profit environment. Provide backup to the Director of IT to prioritize, plan, communicate and provide administrative support for all technology functions.
Responsible for enterprise backup schema.
Participate in research, planning and implementation of new or upgraded information systems.
Assist with development and documentation of information systems policies and procedures.
Assist with the maintenance of necessary infrastructure for general data access. Level 2 response for hardware, software and network troubleshooting and repair.
Administer network accounts, e-mail system, servers and files under general supervision.
Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including virtual infrastructure, servers, routers, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, anti-spam and firewalls.
Design, document and automate the configuration, assembly, installation and maintenance of network systems.
Diagnose network problems and solve issues, often under time constraints.
Oversee the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategy.
Manage network and cloud-based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration.
Maintain orderly, up-to-date records and files, using approved practices and record-keeping systems.
Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices.

B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, operating systems (Windows/Windows Server), and networking.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Hyper-V or Veeam, Microsoft Office365, Microsoft Azure, MobileIron MDM
Experience utilizing Waterfall or Agile project management methodologies
CompTIA A+ certification or minimum of 3 years’ experience with installing hardware/software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Hands-on experience working with PowerShell or other shell scripting language.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking and working within industry best practices.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting of networking equipment of wireless (Wi-Fi) equipment, computers, servers and peripherals.
Experience with asset migration to cloud.
Hands-on technical experience working with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, etc.).
Familiarity with or certification in ITILv3 Foundation preferred.
Demonstrated ability to document and explain network topologies
Ability to engineer, build, and test wireless network for optimum coverage and reliability
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot IT issues
General understanding of VoIP equipment
Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols and possess an understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances
Understanding and implementation of network traffic analysis, remote access methods and systems, firewalls, encryption, authentication and authorization technology
Minimum of 3 years’ of IT project management
Strong oral, written, communications, and presentation skills
