The Director of Field Education may also carry a teaching load. The Director will work with the Director of Assessment to maintain various databases used to execute and maintain the day-to-day operations of the field education program. To ensure that the field education meets both programmatic and local requirements, the Director is responsible for reviewing and maintaining current content for a database of licensing requirements throughout the US and internationally. This position will also assist in assuring that local supervisors have the appropriate training and education needed to provide high quality local supervision.
Assist students in securing and approving field placement sites and qualified local supervisors
Respond to applicant, student and staff questions about clinical placements, appropriate supervisors, and state licensure requirements
Maintain professional communication with local sites and supervisors
Develop relationships with major clinical providers throughout the US and internationally
Develop materials to facilitate clinical placements
Conduct periodic virtual site visits with local placements
Track expiration dates and renewals for local supervisor credentials
Support graduates in finding placements and seeking licensure
Update state licensure profiles, develop international profiles, and when possible vet state specific degree plans with state licensing boards
Work collaboratively with the Director of Assessment to ensure the data collection and reporting of student clinical hours are completed and tracked appropriately
Work collaboratively with the Director of Assessment to ensure the database of actual, previous, and potential clinical sites and supervisors is accurate and expanding to meet student’s needs
Work collaboratively with the Director of Curriculum Development to maintain the state by state curriculum alignments
Participate in Administrative Team meetings projects as needed
Conduct and participate in applicant interviews and student case presentations as needed
Teach MSW course(s) as needed
Maintains professional involvement through state, regional, and national associations
Promote a graduate culture of scholarship, teaching, service, and practice.
Complete all required professional development activities as defined in the Faculty Handbook
Complete all other tasks and/or projects as assigned by the Dean or NCU administrators
Reasonable and consistent attendance to fulfill requirements of the position

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to provide timely, accurate information on a variety of academically oriented subjects to both internal and external constituents.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and other application in the Microsoft Office suite.
Education and Experience
Doctoral degree with a focus in Social Work or a closely related profession from a regionally accredited institution required
CSWE accreditation strongly preferred
Excellent networking and professional communication skills required
Experience as a clinical director or in facilitating clinical placements preferred
Experience with conducting and publishing research in the field of Social Work or a closely related profession preferred
Experience in graduate level coursework and clinical training and administration preferred
Experience with online education preferred
Curriculum development experience preferred
Experience in Higher Education preferred.
Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise preferred.

This position operates in a remote, home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.
