Department/College Description This position is part of NTIDs Learning Consortium which includes the NTID Learning Center (NLC) and NTIDs Online Initiatives. The position reports to the Director.
Detailed Job Description
Oversee daily office operations for the NTID Learning Consortium.
Provide administrative and clerical support to the NTID Learning Center and NTID's Online Initiatives
Manage, reconcile and report on department budget, including Oracle management, procurement card management, processing employee reimbursements, purchasing requests, journal entries, and PCMs.
Order office/lab equipment and software, instructional materials, and office supplies as needed by the Center staff;
Coordinate and post NLC-hosted tutoring schedules;
Provide assistance with student staff training;
Serve as a resource person when NLC Supervisor is not available
Assist with developing multimedia marketing materials to promote the resources and services of the Center;
Update NLC website and Facebook page related to Center functions
Assist with scheduling Center-related meetings and events
Assist department members with conference registrations, travel arrangements, and filing travel reimbursement forms.
Able to use printers, copiers, laminators, shredder, calculator and videophone for work.
Required Minimum Qualifications
2 years of full-time or equivalent administrative/clerical experience
2 years of experience working in an environment that serves Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing people.
Proficient in American Sign Language
Evidence of exemplary customer-service skills
Preferred Qualifications Strong computer skills (internet, Microsoft office excel, Outlook email)Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with others in a team environment;Strong organizational skills, self-starter, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and ability to complete projects under time constraints, ability to work in a demanding fast-paced environment.
