The primary purpose of this position is to provide individual, group and family services to families in the outpatient treatment program and clinical services in the Perinatal Program and the IOP/SACOT/full day programming within the Outpatient Program in Wake County. This position will be responsible for conducting SBIRT activities in the perinatal clinic. This position will also be responsible for monitoring and collecting data for MCO quarterly reports and audits.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board.
This candidate must have knowledge of counseling theory and practice. Skills in assessment, case management, advocacy, and individual and group therapy. Must have knowledge of the needs and concerns of women, including some exposure to issues such as childhood and adult trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, substance abuse, pregnancy/parenting, and legal and economic difficulties. Must have the ability to work with women from varying incomes, ages, ethnical/racial groups and lifestyles. Knowledge of residential environments. Specialized knowledge of motivational interviewing, 12-Step Philosophy, trauma therapies, and recovery principals.
Experience serving women with substance abuse trauma histories in a treatment facility for outpatient services preferred. Prefer a candidate with supervisory experience. A Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; or Master’s degree in counseling or Master’s degree in a human services field and one year of social work or counseling experience; or experience with the substance abuse population, gender-specific treatment, child and family counseling, and a perinatal setting preferred Prefer bilingual therapist.
