The Assistant Director (AD) is a professional, full-time, live-in member of the Office of Residence Life, within the Dean of Students Office, who reports to the Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Residence Life. The AD is responsible for the on-site management and overall supervision of two or more residential areas totaling between 450 and 600 students. The AD directly supervises 17 to 24 undergraduate residence hall staff (Gryphons). The AD shares on-call duty responsibilities for the residential campus totaling approximately 2,500 students. Evening and weekend commitments are required. The compensation package includes a competitive salary commensurate with experience, an excellent benefit package, a furnished two-bedroom apartment, paid utilities, participation in a meal plan during the fall and spring semesters while classes are in session, local telephone service, cable television, and internet access. Support for professional development opportunities will be provided and professional development is strongly encouraged. With the permission of the Assistant Dean/Director, the AD may partner with other departments within the Dean of Students on collateral assignments, which provide a unique opportunity to gain professional experience in related areas of student affairs.
