The University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC) Enterprise is seeking a Physical Therapist Resident. This residency position involves both learning as well as treating patients. The Physical Therapist Resident will provide direct patient care while adhering to the policies and procedures of UKHC and in accordance with state and federal regulations. This position will perform physical therapy evaluations and render physical therapy treatments following a physician's order; treat patients with a variety of diagnoses; and perform appropriate documentation in the medical record.

The ideal candidate will have a sports medicine and manual therapy background; direct patient care and critical thinking skills; basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet; ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with patients and their families, co-workers and physicians; and strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.

Required License/Registration/Certification :
Bachelor's Degree in P. T., KY Licensure with minimum one year of clinical experience on orthopedic/sports medicine out-patient clinical setting preferred. Manual therapy background, and APTA certification and/or ATC background highly preferred. New Grads are welcome to apply.
