As a Data Management – Big Data Analytics Project Manager, you'll work alongside a high caliber development team as you drive innovation and business forward. Along the way, you'll grow and develop at a pace that energizes your career while you do your life's best work.(sm) We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Big Data Analytics - Data Management And Reporting Team. Primary Responsibilities:Lead or help develop program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution Collect, analyze and maintain forecast information (e.g., labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources Establish / apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition) Develop, communicate and implement program / project risk / issue management plans and strategies (e.g., mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance) Mentoring other team members – Creating Project Management Methodology for existing group that works in an ever-changing environment Works on multiple efforts on parallel timelines Becomes a subject matter expert as well for the Data Management Team to help drive projects and initiatives An agent for change
Required Qualifications:BA / BS degree in IT Management, Big Data Analytics, Business or related field and / or equivalent education and work experience Minimum of 4 years of project management experience Minimum of 4 years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions Minimum of 2 years of SDLC management experience Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects Preferred Qualifications:PMP Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt training Healthcare industry experience is a plus Big Data Analytics knowledge and experience Negotiation skills Highly skilled documentation techniques Careers with Optum.
