The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program at Harvard University has been established to deliver a unified approach to the authentication, or login, process across the University while also simplifying the creation of an individual's information distributed across Harvard Schools. Similar to a passport allowing access across the University, every school has the capability to partake in centralized IAM services to deliver a standardized Harvard experience while still allowing the distribution of identities with local school management. Simply put, the IAM Program makes it easy for Harvard's user community to securely access the applications and information they need to be effective. Currently 250k individuals have a HarvardKey and we support upwards of 100k logins per day using those credentials.
Harvard University's Identity and Access Management Group, which is part Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT), is seeking an administrator to be a member of its Account and Access Management team to:
Resolve incident and request tickets
Account administration in O365 and Gmail (some Unix)
Create and manage security groups in Active Directory
Document processes on an ongoing basis for various audiences (internal team, other HUIT support teams, and end users)
Take ownership of special projects as needed to make improvements to our processes or environments
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Tier two IAM support, including mailbox creation, entry level network share creation and calendar creation
Demonstrating advanced skills in customer follow up, adhering to ITIL guidelines
Developing and using base level skills for Unix account management
Developing and using base/intermediate level skills for Windows Power Shell for use in trouble shooting Office 365
Ongoing development of skills in troubleshooting mailbox issues, working towards independent troubleshooting on an intermediate level
Developing competency on best AAM practices and policies, as well as helping to document and develop AAM SOPs

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, related work experience
3 - 5 years experience in an IT support role with high volume activity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, exceptional listening skills and a strong customer service orientation
Ability to manage priorities with limited supervision; demonstrated technical process documentation ability; problem solving and analytical skills; a service and user-focused mindset; ability to work in a diverse team environment.
Coursework in information systems or computer science preferred.
Experience with Gmail and/or Microsoft EXO administration is preferred.
Experience with Active Directory navigation and querying, and Powershell is preferred.
Experience in Identity and Access Management or Account Management is preferred.
Expertise with a service desk ticketing application such as ServiceNow or equivalent application.
ITIL v3 certification preferred
