The Manager of Special Projects & Analytics is responsible for leading, providing analytics for and teaming on especially high priority clinical projects involving MSU College of Human Medicine (CHM) and its partner entities. Given the expansive scope of and complex environments of the anticipated projects, the Manager is expected to exercise excellent personal judgment and to play numerous roles. Primarily through influence, the Manager will bring together teams consisting of senior leaders from the College, its Departments and its partner entities to create and execute on plans, and to manage related processes. The Manager is also responsible for preparing and distributing reports and scorecards on CHM’s clinical activities by gathering and analyzing data from multiple data sources, including University systems (e.g., EIS, athena health). Some evenings hours may be required. The Manager would report to the CHM Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a master's in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or related field; three to five years of related work experience in business analytics, healthcare operations, project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field; experience in health operations and/or a healthcare setting or other service enterprise; strong critical thinking, financial and analytical skills; excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills; and expertise with the Microsoft Office suite, including Access, Excel and PowerPoint, and with social media and cloud-based tools.
