Applies technical project management concepts, frameworks and methods, relevant policies and procedures to resolve a variety of technical project management issues. Manages calendaring and meeting organization for program operations. Directly supports the Chief Operating Officer. Works on technical project management assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Typical projects are of small size and small to moderate impact, budget and / or project team size.
Smarter Balanced a standardized assessment system used by 7M students across California and the U.S. Teachers access resources from the Digital Library and use interim tests to check student progress throughout the year. Summative, or end-of-year tests, measure student achievement and growth in English and math in grades 3?8 and high school. The assessments are accessible to students with disabilities and English language learners. The online format with extended research, writing, and problem solving tasks measure the critical thinking and problem-solving skills students need for success. Smarter Balanced is a program within the division of the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension located at UCSC Silicon Valley Campus in Santa Clara.
Primary work location is UCSC Silicon Valley Campus, 3175 Bowers Avenue, Santa Clara, CA 95054.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Effective communication and organization skills.
Basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
Ability to assess campus, medical center or Office of the President needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs.
Demonstrated effective organization and project management skills.
