The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences seeks an Instructional Lab Coordinator to support the Organic teaching labs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing solutions and experiments; maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of the teaching labs; maintaining instrumentation including IRs, CGs, hot plates, melting point machines, balances, dishwasher, etc; maintaining compressed gas cylinders, cryogens, and related systems; daily restocking of lab supplies prior to the beginning of the class period; assisting teaching assistants (TAs) and undergraduate instructional assistants (also known as undergraduate lab assistants, ULA) with laboratory operations; ordering and storing chemical reagents, prepared solutions, and disposable containers; and maintaining inventory of routine instructional supplies.
