Primary Responsibilities:Establish, mandate, and implement policies, procedures and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations Conduct federal and state - specific research to identify security and privacy compliance requirements including NIST 800-53, FISMA, CMS MARS-E, IRS 1075, HIPAA, and SOC 1 & 2 deliverables and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance Identify security and compliance requirements within commercial and government requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposal (RFP) and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance Develop and approve security and privacy compliance communication for RFI / RFP responses, sales proposals, and client deliverables Provide leadership, guidance, direction, problem resolution, and accountability for security, privacy, and compliance within commercial and government sales processing including requirement identification, solution delivery model selection, solution development, RFP development, and contract review Provide education of applicable security and privacy laws, regulations, and contractual commitments with translation into control requirements Leverage diversity and inclusion to foster teamwork, collaboration, and drive employee engagement Support the collection of data for regulatory filings, coordinate and develop reports, projects and use assessment tools to verify compliance Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them Develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution for a business segment across UnitedHealth Group
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree Previous experience with large government information technology projects with Authority to Operate (ATO) or Authority to Connect (ATC) requirements Previous experience creating and editing RFP responses containing NIST 800 - 53 or FISMA detailed capability and commitment narratives Previous experience in a role requiring leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority Previous experience writing and editing documents larger than 100 pages 5+ years of experience working in a government, legal, health care, managed care and / or health insurance environment in a regulatory, privacy or compliance role Experience communicating complex information via phone conversations and emails to non - technical clients, external customers, internal customers and executives Experience interacting & collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (other team members, internal customers, and executives) Intermediate or better proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS OutlookPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience creating and editing RFP responses containing HIPAA detailed capability and commitment narratives Experience interpreting the CMS Minimum Acceptable Risk Standards for Exchange (MARS - E) control framework, its four volumes, law, and regulation Experience working with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid and / or Tricare regulationsCareers with Optum.
