You will have the opportunity to gain critical business skills while rotating through a variety of roles such as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Network/Provider Contract Analyst. **Housing and relocation assistance are not available for this position. ** **This fulltime position will be available summer 2018.** **UnitedHealth Group is not able to offer visa sponsorship now or in the future for this position** Program features: The content of the rotations as well as the scheduling are subject to change based on business needs. Rotation 1: Contracting Analyst Rotation (4-6 Months) – support the contract analysts database maintenance, reporting and data extraction, and initiate database improvement and maintain current provider data to ensure quality of the network. Rotation 2: Emptoris Clean up Rotation (4-6 Months) – develop a complete understanding of the components of our contracts by reviewing and extracting information on the paper contracts onto the online system. Final Placement: Network Contracting Specialist– May perform network analysis and strategy development for the local market. Obtains data, verifies validity of data, and analyzes data as required. Analyzes network availability and access. Throughout these rotations, you will be offered ongoing training, job shadowing opportunities, (including shadowing Provider Advocates to get exposure to claims issues and resolution), and executive leadership interviews. You will also be provided a mentor. There will be project work associated with this rotation program. The project work might be a healthcare economics work or similar analytical work.
Required Qualifications: Currently in final year of obtaining a bachelor's degree (or obtained degree within the past 12 months) in health service administration, health policy, business, economics, mathematics or related field highly preferred. Degree must be from an accredited college/university. Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentPrevious experience with internship in office setting preferredPrevious experience in healthcare field preferred Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPAMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
