Responsibilities will include assuming lead analyst role for the rating and monitoring of Argentine and Latin American structured finance transactions (fideicomisos financieros), including consumer loans, auto loans, credit cards, lease-backed transactions, and other securitizations. This will involve quantitative data and cash flow analysis, reviewing legal documents, analyzing collateral pools, deal structures, and third party due diligence reports using Moody's in-house models, Excel or other models and statistical packages to formulate independent credit opinions and to present those opinions to rating committees. Responsibilities will also include performing reviews of originators and servicers and enhancing existing analytical models. The candidate is also expected to train and mentor junior members of the team, publish timely, insightful and in-depth research and transaction reports, interact effectively with market participants and speak knowledgeably at conferences and investor briefings.
MBA or Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics. At least 5 years finance-related analytical experience, preferably involving securitizations and the consumer lending industry. Strong academic record (both graduate and undergraduate). Strong oral and written communication capabilities (both in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus). Solid Microsoft Excel skills mandatory; knowledge of additional statistical packages, programming language (VBA), Microsoft Access and database analysis is a positive. Knowledge of, and practical experience in, financial/bond markets and cash flow modeling preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects, work closely with others as well as independently to produce accurate, detailed work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must. CFA is a plus.
