We are seeking a weekend/holiday waterer to support the teaching and research projects across five greenhouse facilities on the Ithaca Campus. Specific expectations are as follows:
Work in a professional manner with a regular Greenhouse Grower during designated work shifts.
Work on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM – 4:30 PM
High school diploma.
Punctual attendance is a must.
Good communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.
Ability to work well with employees, faculty, supervisors, and other research and extension personnel in a professional, respectful environment.
Safety Oriented. Know, understand, and adhere to all proper safety requirements and regulations.
Physical stamina and ability to tolerate the greenhouse environment.
Associate Degree in Agriculture with Horticulture emphasis.
Formal education in plant care and greenhouse operation certification
