We are: The Lymphoma Service consists of 15 faculty members, including clinical, scientific and hospital based physicians, who are leaders in the field. One of the greatest strengths of the Lymphoma Service is the Disease Management Team, which encompasses a close collaboration between the physicians, scientists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, and radiologists in order to provide patients with top-quality clinical care, while developing groundbreaking therapies to prevent, control and ultimately cure cancer. Several members of the Lymphoma faculty also provide services in our rapidly growing regional locations, expanding cancer care to patients outside of New York City. Furthermore, the Lymphoma Service has the largest clinical trial program throughout MSKCC, with 44 trials that are currently open to accrual.
Dr. Anas Younes, Chief of the Lymphoma Service, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the development, preparation and reporting for the federally funded research grants and contracts within area of responsibility.
You will: Support the development, preparation and reporting for the federally funded research grants and contracts, including but not limited to oversight and management of all program specific administrative functions associated to a multi-million dollar program project grant. Serve as the principal administrative resource between Research Administration, Project/Core Leaders, as well as NCI/NIH and Dr. Younes' office. Responsibilities also include financial coordination in conjunction with Research Administration and the Principal Investigator, providing assistance with budget development, monitoring and maintenance; scheduling and coordination of activities; document preparation; record keeping and grants/administrative support to the Lymphoma Service Chief. Prepare/produce documents including memos, correspondence, reports, presentations, and manuals as required. You are: An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding. Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances. Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals. Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely and independent decisions that keep the organization moving forward. Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. You have: Bachelors degree preferred in healthcare, business administration of finance related field Some work experience in program/financial management, experience with federal grant regulations is strongly preferred Proven competency in budget preparation, program planning and grant management Proficiency in Microsoft Office
