Prepare monthly reports on collection account activity and former student account activity for all three campuses. Responsible for maintaining collection software as well as other software used in the Student Accounts Department. Will work with IT Department to program, test or debug any issues within collection software database(s). Serve as the College's primary contact with collection agencies. Regularly interact with collection agencies to ensure they are exhausting all collection efforts on the College's accounts.Keep up to date on any changes to the FDCPA.Educate fellow co-workers of any changes that surround collections. Serve as primary contact for inquiries regarding 1098-T tax reports, including correcting student account records; generating duplicate statements; reproducing the 1098-T forms. Perform on-the-job training to selected team/crew members of current methods and procedures used while performing the essential functions of this position. Use independent judgment on placing accounts with outside collection agency vendors while complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Wilsonville & Harmony Campus: Occasionally travel and work on the Wilsonville & Harmony campus to audit tills and petty cash and to help with Student Orientation and provide. Serve as back up for Third Party Billing. Cross train with this position to help support as needed and back up when out of the office including preparing billings, posting payments, answering and acting as the resource for third party billing.
Lead Duties: Coordinate day to day operations of Accounts Receivable, including monitoring workloads, job duties and special projects. Coordinate coverage for the Accounts Receivable counter and related services provided to students. Responsible for training current and new employees on Accounts Receivable processes and procedures including cashiering basics including, but not limited to, preparing a till, cashing out at the end of the shift and receipting payments. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues, supervisors, clients and others. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM/MANDATORY EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties as described. SKILL: Skill to use personal computers; maintain and update A/R software; operate a mainframe computer terminal, microcomputer and related software office software programs including MS applications such as Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel; phone system; and standard use of office equipment, Strong analytical skills and proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities.
