Reporting to the Managing Director of the Krame Center for Contemplative Studies and Mindful Living, the Krame Center Administrative Assistant is responsible for the implementation of assigned projects of the Krame Center and for the support of the Krame Center staff.
Works collaboratively with Ramapo departments and Center staff to support program development and event facilitation.
Acts as initial point of contact for the Center by phone and email to handle participant inquiries, registration reminders, survey distributions and participant issues.
Responsible for the collection of money for events, ordering of supplies and the collection and submission of invoices and vouchers.
Facilitates and creates new process and procedure to support the efficient running and growth of the Center.
Liaison for the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program between instructors and community, responsible for all handouts, money collection and communications.
Responsible for the Krame Center Website, keeping the content up to date, past information saved, creating consistency and ensuring proper functionality.
Responsible for the creation and/or implementation of Center contracts with speakers, outside event organizations, catering and mindfulness instructors.
Builds and maintains Krame Center databases and works to coordinate with College's Banner database.
Conducts research; compiles and analyzes statistical data related to all Krame Center programming.
Collects real time and post-event evaluations and summarizes in research reports.
Consults with the supervisor on a regular basis concerning progress on assignments and to analyze and resolve problems
Assists Krame Center Staff at seminars, workshops, lectures, conferences and other academic and nonacademic events, especially where evaluations are concerned.
Other duties, as assigned, which may include occasional night or weekend duties.
Bachelor's degree required
Experience in project management
Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated proficiency in drafting documents for professional review and/or publication.
Strong ability to converse with individuals and small groups, in person and over the phone
Ability to synthesize and prioritize information and projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in educational or community based programming
Knowledge of contemplative studies, practices, and trends.
Familiarity with social media, web design and willingness to learn new technology.
