Full Time 40 hours Grade 007 Psychiatry SMH MIPS Schedule 8 AM-4:30 PM; WKENDS AS NEEDED Responsibilities Position Summary: With minimum general direction from the Administration and considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment, provide clerical support for physicians, nurses, and Administration in a busy health care setting. Specific Responsibilities: Scheduling/Check-in and Check-Out Schedule appointments for all outpatient services offered by MIPS both in person and on the phone using FLOWCAST system, as well as maintain other databases related to scheduling. Serve as primary contact for checking-in and checking-out patients. Provided Support Meet with new providers and provide scheduling orientation and input new provider schedules. Maintain MIPS provider schedules, including, vacation, meetings, sick time, and holidays with FLOWCAST. Write MD/NP on call schedule, create and maintain Action telephone schedule, and answer provider questions via phone and email. Arrange and attend MIPS meeting weekly, biweekly and monthly. Send out mail. Create annual provider schedules in FLOWCAST system. Insurance/Billing Provide registration of new patients, request referrals, maintain database of patients, and checking patientâ™s insurance eligibility. Enter all billing to FLOWCAST. Print Missing Charge List daily to ensure proper and timely billing of patients. Perform monthly audits of billing. Print No Show List and Master Schedules weekly. Perform various other related duties. Requirements: High School diploma and 2.5 years related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated skill in communication including extramural agencies, official and physicians. Demonstrated efficiency in prioritizing assignments, skill in proactively resolving problems and recommending and implementing continuous quality improvements. Full knowledge of Microsoft Office products, FLOWCAST, and eRecord a plus.
