Job Description: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, Student Disability Services (SDS), to perform administrative duties in support of SDS. Will use broad understanding of MIT's Disability Services and ADA policies and procedures to provide information to, coordinate services for, and respond to inquiries from the general public and MIT faculty, staff, students, and family members; serve as a key source of information for students and other Institute personnel; use in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures to respond to inquiries about SDS and MIT's ADA policies; provide information regarding Student Support Services (S3) and services within the Division of Student Life; schedule communications access providers for students with hearing impairments, coordinate exam accommodations, and assist departments with accommodation logistics; maintain student records, files, and database; serve as the receptionist for students and visitors; distinguish between emergencies and regular meetings; and deal with walk-in clients and regular appointments. Will also assist with the general office operations; create work orders, POs, and JV transfers; order supplies; and create and design documents, PowerPoint presentations, and handouts. Job Requirements: REQUIRED: at least three years' experience; strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to handle confidential information sensitively; demonstrated initiative and flexibility; ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic, high energy, and team-oriented environment; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines, multitask, prioritize, and establish boundaries; and ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, web software and generally navigate technology.
